Ben Leonard and Shaul David are the founding members of Meta Finance

Ben is London based with a focus on UK and Dutch Financial Services across Banking, Insurance and Wealth/Asset management.

He has extensive experience of working on strategic issues with Senior Managers whilst also engaging actively with Regulators & Government on the role of technology in an evolving financial services landscape.

Before Meta Finance, Ben worked at HSBC as Co-Head of the UK FIG team and led a number of initiatives in the technology space including HSBC’s involvement in the Pension Dashboard project. Ben also engaged clients on Sustainable Finance / Social Impact topics & the Advice gap.

Ben set-up META to help people help themselves and harness technological change for the benefit of industry and society.

Shaul is a London based with a global outlook on innovation in Financial Services.
He has worked with governments, innovative companies seeking to enter the UK market and with UK based companies growing globally.

Before joining Meta Finance, Shaul was the FinTech sector specialist at the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT – formerly UKTI) where he was responsible for DIT’s engagement strategy with UK and global FinTech markets and stakeholders, facilitating business and economic growth through foreign direct investments and exports.

Shaul has also been Programme Manager at the Financial Services Knowledge Transfer Network (FSKTN )and held various roles within retail banking technology and finance.
